13 Fallen Heroes

It's been 2 years since the terrible tragedy in Afghanistan that ended in the loss of lives of several military service members. The bombing at the Kabul airport is a day that will not be forgotten. As a mom of a fairly new Marine at the time, it was very difficult for me to hear about, I can't imagine the fear that others were going through waiting on word from their loved ones there. Shortly after, 13 heroes returned home in flag draped caskets for families and friends to say their heartfelt goodbyes. Now these men and women stand guard at the gates of heaven while their fellow brothers and sisters in arms guard us on earth. Thank you for your ultimate sacrifice and our freedoms Heroes, may you continue to RIP.
